The Step High Low is one of Sagat's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter V.

Input
Street Fighter V Arcade-Stick-Right+Arcade-Button-MKick

Description

StepLowKick

Executed by pressing forward and Medium Kick, Sagat steps forward and delivers a low, spinning roundhouse kick.

Tactics

While Step High Kick serves as an anti-air tool, this attack is used to keep his opponent in check at mid-range. Despite having a slightly longer, 19-frame startup, Step Low Kick stays true to its name and hits low on the opponent. Additionally, even if his opponent blocks this attack, it is only -2, making Sagat somewhat safe.

Sagat can use Step Low Kick to fish for Counter Hits, allowing him to link into one of his Light normals for a decent combo. Similar to the Step High Kick, this move also effectively enhances Sagat's zoning abilities. This attack can kara-cancel into his special attacks. By kara-cancelling into Tiger Shot, Sagat can slowly approach his opponent while harassing them with a barrage of projectiles. Additionally, if his opponent tries to forward jump his fireballs, Sagat can kara-cancel Step High Low into his Tiger Uppercut to extend the range of his primary anti-air attack.
