Stray (ストレイ Sutorei?) is a fictional character from the Final Fight series, introduced in the game Final Fight 3.
Biography[]
Appearance[]
Stray is a lean but tall and powerful man with wild purple hair and black shades. He wears a green trench coat over a white shirt, purple camo pants, purple gloves, combat boots, spiked metal knuckles, and metal shin guards. Overall, his visage fit the stereotypical description of an unsavory and threatening stalker or criminal.
In his Shadaloo C.R.I. profile art, his sleeves for his trenchcoat are torn off, he wears a white headband, and his left arm is said to be an advanced robotic metal prosthetic.
Story[]
Final Fight[]
Stray was originally a professional serial killer whose work eventually got the attention of the Skull Cross Gang.[1] Intrigued and valued for his expertise in wetwork and covering tracks, Stray eventually rose to become a high figure in the gang through hit jobs and assassinations. One of these assignments included the murder of Dean's family to intimidate and make Dean reconsider his refusal to join Skull Cross.[1]
Upon the day of the riots that Skull Cross instigated to ensure Black's break out from prison, Stray fought Haggar, Guy, Lucia, and Dean in a Skull Cross owned factory used to secretly produce high grade black market weapons, encountering them as he rode around on a crane in the factory's refinery and blast furnace, but they managed to defeat him.
Fighting style[]
Stray is very fast and agile, with good power to boot. He fought with punches and dash punches, and would often leap through the air and try to punch any enemies underneath him. He could also block attacks, which made it hard to use combos against him.
Trivia[]
- If players break all the control panels in a secret area of the factory, they will not encounter Stray.
