Description[]
Guile jumps into the air and performs a high damage roundhouse kick. The EX Special version of this move can hit multiple times.
In Street Fighter 6, this move can be performed by pressing forward plus Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick after blocking an attack (or pressing forward and Drive Impact for Modern Control). Guile delivers a massive uppercut to knock the opponent back.
Tactics[]
Ultra Street Fighter IV OMEGA Mode[]
Strike Eagle can be used as a quick way to bounce around the field, and can be used as a punish move, especially the EX version because of the multiple hits. The move is rather slow so it's best used when the player knows it will hit and not be punished, because the damage makes up for it.
Street Fighter 6[]
As a Drive Reversal, Strike Eagle serves as a way for Guile to escape offensive pressure being applied to him; similar to Alpha Counter or V-Reversal. It cost 2 bars of Drive Gauge. This move can be only be performed when Guile is in blockstun or on a successful Drive Parry. Upon activation, Guile is fully invincible during the startup and active frames of this move. On hit, it inflicts decent amount of provisional damage. Strike Eagle can also break armor. It is also effective in keeping the opponent in the corner should they attempt to force their way out.
Trivia[]
- This move is likely a reference to Remy's Cold Blue Kick, as Remy has a very similar moveset to Guile.
