Temple of Ascension is a DLC stage in Street Fighter V.

An apparently forgotten temple out in the plains of inland Japan, the temple is a neglected but standing structure, with the right hall of its building collapsed and worn down to show its foundation, with a deity statue standing in its center. Outside, it is located in the cleared portion of a meadow of tall satsuki grass in a mountainous range, while the trees are either so old or weather-beaten that they do not bear leaves. The grassy knoll near the temple features jizo statues, and a broken leaning godai ishidoro lantern. The stormy weather outside further sets a rather gloomy, glum, and even dark and bleak backdrop, with the condensation and cloudy atmosphere seemingly dying the entire area a mute dark slate gray. The battle takes place outside the temple.

The stage variant for Temple of Ascension is the Field of Fate, which first appeared in Street Fighter Alpha 2.

Trivia[]

  • The statue inside the temple is similar to Old Temple statues, which also resembles Asura (in his Six-Armed Vajra form) from Capcom's Asura's Wrath.
