Utilizing Tiger Hang.

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) near an opponent. Sagat first grabs his opponent by the head with both of his hands. He then delivers a devastating knee strike to his opponent's midsection, knocking the wind out of them. Keeping one hand around the back of their head, Sagat chuckles as he lifts the winded opponent high off the ground. Finally, he throws his arm down, tossing and tumbling his opponent back-first to the ground.

Tactics[]

While Sagat's game plan is to keep his opponent at bay with his mid-range normals and projectiles, his throws are essential to break through their defenses. Tiger Hang inflicts the same damage and less stun than his back throw. However, his forward throw leaves Sagat very close to his opponent, which gives him better okizeme. He can deliver a Tiger Shot on their wake-up to regain frame advantage, or he can walk forward and perform Standing Medium Punch as a meaty combo starter. Sagat can also move up and deliver another forward throw for a pseudo-throw loop. Unfortunately, his wake-up game is not as strong as other character; meaning that his opponent can interrupt his pressure with a 3-frame normal.
