The Tiger Heavy Elbow is one of Sagat's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter IV.

Description[]
Executed by pressing forward and Heavy Punch, Sagat steps forward and performs a downward elbow strike.
Tactics[]
As an overhead attack, the main purpose is to break through the defenses of an opponent who insists on crouch guarding (as the attack must be blocked from a standing position). The draw back causes considerable delay, and this attack can easily be countered by an aggressive opponent by hitting her beforehand. Similar to most overheads, this attack is unsafe on block. However, while it is -6 on block, it can be difficult for his opponent to punish if properly spaced. Tiger Heavy Elbow also has decent range, making it one of Sagat's best mid-range tools.
This move is Sagat's only overhead attack. It cannot cancel into his special attacks from this move. Despite having a slower startup than other overheads inflicts a respectable amount of damage. While his gameplan revolves around zoning out his opponent with projectiles and mid-range normals, Sagat can use this overhead as a surprise attack to win the round(s) after conditioning them to constantly crouch block.
