Description[]

JPTornado

JP catching Cammy's arm in midair during Tornado.

"Grab your opponent's arm while airborne and toss them to ground behind you. Throws your opponent while switching places with them."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (or the Light Attack and Medium Attack for Modern Control) while JP and his opponent are near each other in the air. When JP is in midair, he uses the end of his cane to catch his opponent around the elbow. With a firm grip on his cane, he swings his arm across his body to toss the opponent to the other side of the stage

Tactics[]

JP has a variety of anti-airs to make his opponent second-guess about jumping such as Standing Heavy Kick, Crouching Heavy Punch, or Triglav. While JP has decent air-to-air attacks, Tornado inflicts more damage than any of them and results in a side switch. With a 5-frame startup, JP can quickly surprise the opponent with his air throw at the last minute. The main drawback for this move is that JP needs to be up close to deliver this move. If he's out of range, JP may not only whiff his air throw, but he may also be vulnerable to a Punish Counter. It creates enough separation to allow him to continue zoning his opponent with projectiles and setups.
