Tsuten Rengeki

Tsuten Rengeki is also one of Akira's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter V.

Description

Executed by Light Punch and then Medium Punch, followed by Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Akira delivers a quick jab to the opponent. When the attack connects, she follows up with another punch with her other hand. If the second punch connects, Akira delivers an upward knee strike to launch her opponent in the air.

Tactics

This target combo can only be used if Akira is equipped with her second V-Skill. Tsuten Rengeki gives Akira a way to score additional damage while maintaining frame and positional advantage. She can cancel the second hit into special moves such as Kiko Kai, Urarimon, and of course, her second V-Skill; which launches her opponent in the air. Instead of propelling them high in the air for a standard Air Burst, the last attack launches them slightly lower for a short Air Burst. From there, Akira has a variety of follow-ups. She can cancel into EX Hotenshu or her Critical Art. Akira can also jump toward her opponent and tack on extra damage with a short string of jumping normals; ending with Shintenshu or an Airborne Kiko Kai. She can hit her opponent up to five times before the juggle ends.
