Tsutenda is Akira's second V-Skill in Street Fighter V.

Description[]
Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Akira delivers an upward knee strike to launch her opponent high in the air. Akira can then press an upward direction to start an Air Burst, allowing her to jump toward her airborne opponent and perform a variety of multi-hitting air combos.
Tactics[]
Much like her home series, Tsutenda has two variants depending on if she performed the attack raw or in the middle of a combo. When cancelled into from Ressenda or Renkan Ko, Tsutenda gives a short launch that allows for a few attacks into a finisher, while the raw Tsutenda launches incredibly high, giving Akira even longer combos. During an Air Burst, Akira can perform Chain Combos from her air normal attacks. Every attack performed during an Air Burst adds to its juggle count before the opponent is sent into a spinning state, where Akira can either finish the opponent off with Shintenshu or an EX Kiko Kai, performed in a similar fashion to its original Burning Vigor variant. Alternatively, Akira can choose not to perform the Air Burst and can instead use it as a pure launcher for her to juggle afterwards, letting her use her grounded special moves instead. Depending on her combo routes, Akira can prioritize damage, height, or corner carry.
Tsutenda's high launch, while difficult to land in neutral, can be comboed from Akira's Kaihosho on Crush Counter, from the launching hit of Otoko no Senaka, or canceled from a Haten no Kamae activation though in all cases they will have extra scaling. To circumvent some of the scaling, EX Kiko Kai has a fixed 30% scaling as a finisher, letting her close out a round. The last hit of EX Senshubu can be canceled into a post-activation Haten no Kamae, then into Tsutenda for a confirmable albeit mildly costly route into a high Air Burst.
Tsutenda trades Kiko Rensei's increased damage and projectile-nullification for powerful meterless combos and extensions. Akira can choose to either punish opponents with a Crush Counter or Tsutenda, granting new combo opportunities and potentially higher damage.
