Description[]

Uragan

JP putting Cammy in an armlock during Uragan.

"Grab your opponent by the arm, push their back, and send them tumbling behind you. Throws your opponent while switching places with them."
Street Fighter 6

Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (or the Light Attack and Medium Attack for Modern Control) and pushing backwards near an opponent. After grabbing them by the wrist, JP hooks his wrist underneath his opponent's elbow and pulls them toward him to get them off-balance. JP then releases his cane, keeping it stuck in between the opponent's elbow and their back. Using his cane as a lever, JP yanks his weapon across his body, sending his opponent tumbling to the other side of the stage.

Tactics[]

JP's throws are essential to his gameplan. It allows JP to create separation while switching sides with his opponent. This not only allows JP continue zoning with his projectiles and setups, but also lets him put his opponent in the corner. Once in the corner, JP gets good okizeme by dashing forward. He can go for a meaty attack or put the opponent in a throw loop. Additionally, JP can also begin combos with his Uragan when paired with Departure or his Level 2 Super Art. JP can also sneak in a throw after using Amnesia to parry on of his opponent's attack as they are forced to respect the detonation and his offensive pressure.

Trivia[]

Uragan ( Ураган) is Russian for "hurricane". It may be a reference to the BM-27 Uragan, a self-propelled 220 mm multiple rocket launcher designed in the Soviet Union to deliver cluster munitions. The system began its service with the Soviet Army in the late 1970s and was its first spin and fin stabilized heavy multiple rocket launcher.
