Hi, Lord Grammaticus. I've heard that Street Fighter II Turbo Revival was rated E for Game Boy Advance. Is it right?

Hi LG,

You're welcome. Consider me a kind of SF 2010 diehardJ3px 23:22, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

Heh, that was an automated message. Wikia does that. But nonetheless, I am grateful that you're helping us out. Lord Grammaticus 18:34, December 19, 2011 (UTC)thumb|px|right|In production.

Re: By the by

Sure! While my knowledge of content of the series might not be the best, I'll still help keep the wiki running. Speaking of which, I'm probably going to fix the "non playable" vs "non-playable" thing first. Ant1pr0t0n (Talk) 03:42, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

Alright. Lord Grammaticus 18:35, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

Shin Oni's storyline sections.

I do not know how to add citations. Can you change this "The developers have specifically concieved Oni as Akuma beyond Shin Akuma, therefore the Shin form of Oni is one of the strongest entities in the Street Fighter canon along with Gill, Oro, Final Bison, Shin Akuma, Ingrid etc." part by changing the link embedded in 'beyond Shin Akuma' to a citation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Devang.home47 (talkcontribs)

Remember to sign your edits to my talk page, please; it'll save us both some trouble.
Anyhow, you add citations as follows: <ref>link</ref>. Note that in your case, it'd be <ref>[ desired link text]</ref>. I'll add that bit you gave me, so don't worry about it. Lord Grammaticus 06:56, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Serious help with Akuma's Japanese quote

It's the one where he says he is the master of the fist. Dekoshu talk contrib 21:05, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Ohey, Deko. What exactly do you need help with regarding that? Lord Grammaticus 21:07, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

With this: I am the Master of the Fist (Ware wa ken wo kiwameshi mono). Dekoshu talk contrib 21:20, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

'kay, there's the quote. What do you want done? Do you want the kanji or whatever they call it, a source, or something else? Lord Grammaticus 21:31, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

The kanji needed for the quote, please. I'm pretty sure it's relatively easy. Source would be appreciated too. Dekoshu talk contrib 21:59, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Yikes. I was hoping it'd be something else - kanji is not my strong point. I could look for it, but I can't make any guarantees that I'll find it. Lord Grammaticus 22:04, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Well do your best, because kanji is one of my strong points. Dekoshu talk contrib 22:07, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, then. I found it. You don't have to find it. You can do the citation instead or I do it myself. Dekoshu talk contrib 22:16, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind, I did both of them anyways. I apologize if I wasted your time with this. Dekoshu talk contrib 22:31, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

It's cool. :B Lord Grammaticus 05:59, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

I doubt you know me, but I'm HavocReaper, an old admin of the site and just wanted to say, judging by your edits you seem like a great editor, and welcome to the staff! --HavocReaper 20:20, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

I've heard of you, actually! I tend to lurk between edits. Thanks! Lord Grammaticus 20:23, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Source

Yes I do have a source, but I am a mystery man that only longs to make new friends and edit wiki's that are in need of help but my source is google images. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zooman (talkcontribs)

Various things (first post on inexperience, on Juli, on the Plot Canon Guide)...

I'm new at wiki editing. I will most likely not do any wiki editing to be honest. This is my first post on Street Fighter Wiki, so if this ends up out of place me out since I don't know much about Wiki posting in general. I really wanted to talk. I would be clutzy trying to Wiki edit most likely since I would be extremely inexperienced!

On Juli

You say she's not German because she's a part of his tribe? That doesn't mean anything. Heck, look at the Udon Street Fighter World Warrior Encyclopedia released in 2010 pg 64: Juli's Bio "Country of Origin: Germany"

Here's a thread that has Jim Zubkavich and Matt Moylan chime in that The Street Fighter World Warrior Encyclopedia has things that "everything in the book was seen and approved by Capcom USA and Japan."

Heck, All About Capcom mentions Juli being German as well. Vasili10 (the maintainer of the Street Fighter Plot Canon Guide) says it here:

That page I gave might be 5 years old but TiamatRoar does say that Juli is officially from Germany until Capcom says otherwise. Capcom has NEVER officially retconned out the German background. The "she's from his tribe thing" isn't proof that they negated it.

  • Do you have ANYTHING else to prove that she's Mexican? Do you have a legit source?

Honestly, the Juli thing has been bothering me for a LONG time.

On The Street Fighter Plot Canon Guide

  • Do you follow the Street Fighter Plot Canon Guide by any chance? I'm a big fan of Vasili's translations and The Plot Canon Guide! What do you think of it anyway?

I'd really like to know your opinion on all of this, Lord Grammaticus.

Let's take it part by part.

  1. Wiki Editing: You have it down for the most part, really.
  2. Juli: I hadn't seen a source that actually said she was German, so I went off the tribe thing instead (silly to do in retrospect, but it seemed right at the time). I'll fix that and ask you about something related to that soon.
  3. Plot guide: I don't own a copy of it, unfortunately. Can it be found online?

Lord Grammaticus 02:33, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

I don't really know how to reply back. I just hit Edit again on this section. Please help if this isn't the right way.

Plot Canon Guide Links

Okay, it's a fan-based Street Fighter Guide but it's been around a LONG time in various forms (it started on a message board on GameFaqs in the late '90s from what I remember). I am VERY suprised a lot of people don't know about it.

Just keep scrolling down until you hit vasili10/Tiamat. Vasili is pretty much the guy who translates obscure Capcom Japan Street Fighter material atm.

Here's Vasili's appendix to the Plot Canon Guide (more translations):

Recently, there's somebody challenging Vasili's version of some of the Capcom Japan material though. I'm a lurker on the Shoryuken Warriors Fate thread for many years, and I've never seen anybody go so hard after Vasili like that before. It's all very interesting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SilverEyedJackal (talkcontribs)

You should check out the Plot Canon Guide and the appendix. A lot of effort has been put through the Guide. It's fascinating.

Yep, editing the section's how you do it, though don't forget to sign. Also, thank you for the links and questions, I really appreciate them. Lord Grammaticus 03:09, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
You might need to talk to Vasili10 to get permission just in case though.

Boss Gouken's Shin Shoryuken.

Just found out boss Gouken's Shin Shoryuken has virtually no startup, does 653/1000 HP damage if used as a normal hit and 688/1000 HP damage if it registers as a counter-hit. I am adding that information to the pages Gouken, Shin Shoryuken and Shoryuken.

Forgot to add. Shin Akuma's Wrath of the Raging Demon and Shin E. Ryu, Shin Oni and Shin Akuma's Raging Demon are completely invincible and can only be dodged by jumping or a Shoryuken. It even cancels out most other supers and ultras.

So here is the summary of the Boss Characters in SSF4

All special moves have more priority, less startup.

Gouken - Increased damage for the Shin Shoryuken, less startup for S. Shoryuken and Kinjite Shoryuken, fully charged Denjin Hadoken.

Akuma - Invincible Ultra and Super Raging Demon, 4 frame startup for the Demon Armageddon (less than half of normal version), can cancel any move into the Ashura Senku

Evil Ryu - Fully charged Metsu Hadoken, 5 frame startup for the Messatsu Goshoryu, invincible Super Raging Demon. Can cancel from *and* into Ashura Senku.

Oni - Quicker startup for the Tenchi Sokaigen and Messatsu Go Zanku. Invincible Super Raging Demon. Devang.home47 05:31, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Right, thanks for letting me know. Lord Grammaticus 05:34, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
