Description[]

VolareCombo

Executed by pressing Medium Punch, followed by a second Medium Punch while in the air, Marisa delivers a hook using her rear arm. If the first attack hits the opponent, she finished the combo with an overhand punch with her opposite hand that knocks them straight toward the ground.

Tactics[]

This attack is Marisa's only aerial target combo. The first hit is also one of her primary air-to-air moves. The hitbox has decent range, making it a viable move against a jumping opponent from midrange. The first attack also puts his opponent in a juggle state, allowing Marisa to finish the target combo with Jumping Medium Punch. Not only Volare Combo results in a knockdown, but it drops them to a position right in front of Marisa as she lands, giving her solid okizeme. Because Marisa lacks in reliable anti-air moves, utilizing her aerial target combo is critical to her gameplay.

Trivia[]

  • Volare means "to fly" both in Latin and Italian.
