Description
- "Grab your opponent's arm to break their poise, before sweeping out their leg and sending them crashing to the ground. Throws your opponent without switching places with them."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (or the Light Attack and Medium Attack for Modern Control) near an opponent. After hooking front arm underneath her opponent's front elbow, A.K.I. weaves other arm around their front arm. Keeping one of her arms underneath the opponent's, she scissors their front arm by placing her other arm over them; placing her hand on their shoulder at the same time. Suddenly, A.K.I. swings her leg behind the opponent's leg to sweep them off their feet. A.K.I. spins and releases her opponent, causing them to flip over on their stomach.
Tactics
While A.K.I.'s gameplan is to carve away the opponent's health bar by constantly putting them in a poisoned state, mixing her attacks with her throws can frustrate them and force them to make a mistake. The threat of trigging a Toxic Blossom on a poisoned opponent may cause the opponent to freeze up and play defensively or passively. This allows A.K.I. to close the distance and perform Whisper for respectable damage. After hitting the opponent with this move, A.K.I. can perform a Drive Rush to maintain pressure, or throw out an Orchid Spring to poison them while recovering. If she has her opponent in the corner, A.K.I can slightly walk forward and potentially put them in a throw loop.
Trivia
- A bìxiè (贔屓) in Chinese mythology is a dragon with the shell of a turtle on its back.
