The Wild Edge is one of Blanka's unique attacks, introduced in Street Fighter 6. It is also Blanka's default Standing Medium Kick in Street Fighter II, though the move has since been named in Street Fighter 6.

Description[]
- "A special-cancelable kick. Useful against jumping opponents."
- —Street Fighter 6
Executed by pressing back and Medium Kick (or pressing back and Medium Attack for Modern Control), Blanka handstands on one paw and swings his back up to deliver a high kick to the opponent.
Tactics[]
This move is one of few attacks in Blanka's arsenal that is plus on block, even without the assistance of Drive Rush. As the opponent is recovering, he can perform a meaty Wild Edge and attempt to hit the opponent on the back end of the move's active frames in order to get more frame advantage. Blanka is also +8 on hit, allowing him to link into Crouching Medium Punch or Standing Heavy Punch for additional damage. It can be used as an anti-air attack due to its high hitbox. This move can still hit the opponent if they are crouching. However, Blanka needs to be close to his opponent or the move may whiff.
