Description

Executed by performing a half-circle back motion and pressing punch while airborne (or Special Attack in midair for Modern control), Dhalsim shoots an downward-angled Yoga Fire.

Tactics

YogaComet

This projectile operates similarly to Akuma's Zanku Hadoken. The fireball travels diagonally downward to the opponent. After delivering the move, Dhalsim is pushed back slightly to gain additional distance between the opponent. The strength of the punch button pressed determines the distance the projectiles travels. The Light version travels 1/4 of the screen while the Heavy version can almost hit the opponent at fullscreen.

While Dhalsim's zoning capabilities are complimented with his long-range pokes and projectiles, this move gives him more versatility to attack the opponent. He doesn't have to be on the ground to control spacing. Thanks to Yoga Comet, Dhalsim can unleash his projectiles while airborne. Additionally, this move allows Dhalsim to have multiple fireballs on the screen at the same time. Usually, Dhalsim can perform one projectile at a time. He also must wait until the fireball leaves the screen or makes contact with the opponent before delivering another one. With Yoga Comet, he can combine this move with Yoga Fire or Yoga Arch to attack the opponent in multiple ways.
