Description[]

YogaDeepBreath

Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, Dhalsim floats into the air and and takes a huge breath. After taking in enough air, he exhales a small burst of fire before dropping back to his stance. This enhances Dhalsim's next Yoga Fire

Tactics[]

While Dhalsim loses his increased mobility with his first V-Skill, Yoga Deep Breath increases his offensive potential. While it takes a total of 50 frames to perform this move, it buffs Dhalsim's next Yoga Fire. Like his first V-Skill, Yoga Deep Breath can be performed on the ground or in the air. He can also cancel his Jumping Medium Punch into his Second V-Skill to not only end a juggle combo, but to have his enhanced fireballs ready for usage upon landing. Even after performing Yoga Deep Breath in the air, Dhalsim can use his Yoga Teleport or his Drill Kick to create space or catch his opponent off-guard. Like other V-Skills, Dhalsim maintains this enhancement until he performs his projectile, even if his opponent hits or knocks him down.

Dhalsim's next Yoga Fire becomes amplified, thanks to his second V-Skill. It not only inflicts more damage, but it gives Dhalsim better frame advantage. The original Yoga Fire is -3 on hit and -5 on block. However, the enhanced Yoga fire makes it safe on block at +2. Dhalsim is also +4 on hit. Additionally, if the fireball hits the ground, it will bounce toward the opponent, forcing them to avoid the projectile a second time. This gives the Light and Medium version increased range. As for the Heavy version, the fireball bounces back toward the opponent. This can lead to some new combos, ambiguous setups, or mix-ups to keep his opponent guessing.

The EX version also gets an increased damage and hit-count. Dhalsim gets even better frame advantage. He's +16 on block and +15 on hit. In the corner, he can pull off heavy damaging combos or keep his opponent on their heels as they are blocking the enhanced EX Yoga Fire.

Amplified Yoga Fires can also be modified by Yoga Flame and Yoga Gale, allowing Dhalsim to change their trajectory from a slow arc to a fast line, further enhancing his mix-ups.
