- "Take this!"
- —Akira
The Yoshisenrin is one of Akira's throws in Street Fighter V.
Street Fighter V | + (Back) |
---|
Description[]
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) and pushing backwards near an opponent. Akira first blocks a punch from her opponent and grabs the attacking arm. She raises her opponent's arm up and steps underneath it to position herself behind her opponent, locking her opponent's limb behind their back in a chicken wing armlock. Finally, Akira places her front foot in between her opponent's legs and drives her shoulder into their back, sending them flying across the stage. If no directional input or button is pressed, Akira pumps her fist before dropping back to her stance.
Tactics[]
In Street Fighter V, Akira specializes in close to mid-range combat. She becomes more of a threat one she is in her opponent's face, frustrating them with strong pokes and cancellable normals to maintain pressure. When she has her opponent on their heels, she can sneak in a throw to break through their defenses. Yoshisenrin is mainly used to reset the neutral game and create separation between her opponent. From this range, she can charge up her first V-Skill to enhance her next projectile. It also this inflicts more damage and stun than her forward throw. If her opponent is close to stun, hitting them with her back throw is an excellent set.
