Description[]

Executed by pressing Heavy Kick, followed by Heavy Punch, JP delivers a high sidekick to the opponent's head. If the first attack connects, JP then swings his cane forward with a spinning flourish.

From there, JP can transition into either:

Zilant Mid[]

"An overhead attack performed out of Zilant that cannot be blocked crouching."

By pressing Heavy Punch after the first two hits of Zilant, JP performs the Zilant Mid (ジラントルカー Jiranto Rukā?). JP delivers an overhead attack using his cane, slashing it down like a sword.

By pressing Heavy Kick after the first two hits of Zilant, JP performs the Zilant Low (ジラントナガー Jiranto Nagā?). JP whacks his opponent's knee with his staff.

Tactics[]

Zilant is safe on block and cancellable, making it a key component in JP's neutral and combo game. Zilant Mid and Zilant Low do not combo on hit, making them more of a surprise option to compliment his special attack cancels, though both are also too slow to beat out any mashed buttons.

Trivia[]

  • Zilant (Зилант) is Russian for "snake". The high and low follow ups are Ruká (рука́), "hand" and Naga (нога), "leg".
